You make it sound like the entire game was a beatdown. It wasn't

AU had the VA Tech game in control from the beginning...yeah tech put 7 on the board late...woo hoo...But, IMO, if reggie bush played in the SEC he's no better than Addai, Williams, McFadden etc etc. So you are lookin at Bush in a different light than I am. Like I said, not everyone gets to put up their numbers against the Pac 10 or ND year in and year out. In the Pac 10 Bush looked like superman...in the SEC he is still a superstar, but doesn't post nearly the numbers...so, yeah...I think they had seen backs as good that in the SEC.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

The '04 Auburn team was great, I too watched them thump UT in person that year, but I think USC would have beat 'em had they played. Sure it would have been a better game, but same result.

    Re: Kurt Busch

That's why they play the game...It was a consensus that UF was gonna take a thumping from OSU this year...Michigan and USC both jumping up and down cuz they didn't get to play OSU for the title...and everyone was agreeing that UF shouldn't be in the game until the game was played. A team from other conferences can inflate their numbers and have ESPN behind them sayin they are the best ever (remember USC right before Texas spanked that a$$) and alot of folks believe it. But, that is where folks are fooled as well...and something else to think about...OSU was basically crowned as the champ by ESPN and ABC this year before they played UF...so they have been wrong 2 years in a row....AND UF wasn't undefeated...remember who the 1 loss was??..a 2 loss AU team.

I never thought even once that Ohio State would beat Florida. The little 11 is the most overhyped conference in College football hands down.

I'm not gonna argue that the SEC isn't the best football conference, but I don't think the conference is miles ahead either. Nor do I think that the SEC has a legit national title contender every year, but at the same time any team that goes undefeated in that conference deserves a shot.

    Re: Kurt Busch

Not too long ago I sat and figured up the winning percentage for each conference, the average win/loss for each conference...and it came out 1-SEC, 2-Big12, 3-Big East, 4-Pac 10, 5-ACC, and 6-Big 10...everything that is projected is just that...projected. They rank the schedules on last year's performance...but last year is last year.

    Re: Kurt Busch

Why is Florida being brought up in the 01 debate? They didn't even win the division. Had UT not choked against LSU, UT would have been Miami's opponent in Pasadena instead of Nebraska. Of course, the Cornhuskers didn't deserve to be there anyway.

the only debate that can be made about 01 is who deserved to get their teeth kicked in more.......the huskers or the ducks
